11 Things About Me
Today, I’ve decided I might as well just share a few facts about myself for those who do not really know me. I’ve chosen just a few of my favorite images from Instagram that I feel reflect who I am as a person. They’re completely random facts and are in no order at all. I don’t think most of them are facts to be honest. UGH over thinking once again.
Alright, here it goes. Enjoy.
1. I love to travel.
My father always used to take us out on weekend trips. Sometimes day trips. Completely spontaneous at times but I loved it! I guess I’ve become a lot like him because I do the same thing now. Also, I love driving for hours to reach a destination, especially if it’s a place I’ve never seen before.
2. I’m afraid of heights.
Growing up in Saskatoon (Canada) my surroundings were pretty much constantly flat. I can’t approach the window when I’m over 20 stories or so. It just doesn’t happen 😉 When I first moved to Boston I would freak out every time I had to drive over a steep hill in the city.
3. I like chocolate. A lot. And cheese.
Not much to say about this one. Although I don’t think the combination of the two (chocolate + cheese) would go very well…hmm.
4. Pink + purple everything. Every where. All the time.
I was the happiest person everrr when my lovely mother had my room painted pink. It was total bliss! Pink or purple every where, all the time might a bit of an overkill. I personally think they’re better suited as accent colors now.
5. Cats, cats, cats. I LOVE CATS.
I have two furbabies. Balin + Dwalin (named after The Hobbit characters). This guy in the photo above is Dwalin. He’s such a loving kitty! It was such a joyous occasion when my parents FINALLY agreed to let my siblings and I to have cats.
6. I’m terrible at keeping plants alive, but I love gardening!
I’m trying my best to get better at not killing every plant I get! So far, so good. I love succulents and I find they’re so much easier to take care of than other plants.
7. I used to be obsessed with Windows, and now I’m a full on Apple fangirl.
Yes. That is all.
8. I’m DIY obsessed.
I would rather make something on my own then go and buy it ready. I love the challenge of figuring things out. This bookshelf here is going bye-bye in a few months. I have an idea I’ve been wanting to implement. YASSS!
9. I find comfort in silence.
If I want to feel at home I try to look for the quietest places. I find comfort in silence. It’s relaxing to me and it helps me calm down and think clearly.
10. Pretty skies make me feel alive.
This photo was taken from the top of a mountain in Maine, USA. It reminded me so much of home (Saskatchewan, Land of the Living Skies). The rolling clouds, the horizon, the beautiful hues of blue and pops of white. *Breathe*
11. I’m a Civil Engineer.
I graduated from Canada with a B.Sc in Civil Engineering and I’m currently pursuing a Masters degree in Architecture (M.Arch) in Boston. I also run a photography business.
Please, do share a few facts about yourself!
